Third suspect arrested in roadside shooting | Crime
A third suspect in a roadside shooting near Moses Lake is in custody. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gilbert Williamson in connection with the December 10th shooting of Dale Olmos.
Williamson was arrested without incident on December 29th. Prosecutors have charged him with first-degree rendering criminal assistance for his role in the shooting.
“I am thankful for the tips sent to us by citizens, and to the Moses Lake Police Department for catching Williamson and getting him into custody,” said Sheriff Tom Jones. “This is another example of how community and interagency cooperation helps fight crime.”
Olmos was found with a gunshot wound to the head on the side of Road 5 NE near Moses Lake. Investigators believe he was shot over a stolen cell phone. Jordan Wiester, 21, and Jose Rivera, 16, were arrested earlier this month and face attempted first-degree murder charges.
