Warden police come to the rescue in failed fording attempt | Environment
Warden Police came to the rescue of two stranded motorists Tuesday afternoon as they attempted to ford the Lind Coulee.
The two men, one in their 60's and one in their 70's, are from Othello and were attempting to survey the area. They underestimated the depth of the fording spot and became stuck.
The water was about 4 and a half feet high, but they did not want to risk getting out of the truck so they called for help.
Warden Police Chief Rick Martin and others from the local volunteer fire department came to the resuce and they captured part of the rescue on video.
They used another truck to pull the vehicle out of the water. No one was injured in the rescue.
