Ephrata teens use slain rabbits in high school prank | News
Three students from Ephrata High School have been disciplined for taking a prank on their rival school too far. Five dead rabbits were found on the campus of Quincy High School prior to a big football game between the two schools. One of the rabbits was hanging from the score board.
Ephrata High School Principal, Dan Martell, described the incident as unacceptable and was notified about the rabbits by Quincy High School. The three students involved admitted to leaving the rabbits and have been disciplined, but Martell wouldn't disclose what the punishment entailed.
“We're done with it,” said Principal Martell. “We're moving on.”
Quincy Police Sgt. Paul Snyder told the Wenatchee World that he did not think the police department would press any charges against the teens. Snyder said an alert employee led the police to the rabbits after seeing a vehicle drive away from the grounds.
The Quincy High School mascot is the Jackrabbits.
